POLARIS TOURS
Experience the true natural beauty of Panama. Hotel Playa Cambutal offers half day trips. Each of our Polaris all-terrain vehicles can seat 4 people. You can choose your adventure and ask us to take you to waterfalls, secluded beaches or the area’s best tide pools. Tours include guides, drinks, snacks and prepared lunch.
PUNTA BLANCA TOUR
Hotel Playa Cambutal is the proud owner of one of Panama’s true treasures, an area called Punta Blanca. Locally named for its renowned large white rocks visible along the shore line by boat the land is largely preserved and offers our guests the unique experience of exploring the jungle and hiking to a private waterfall. The beachfront property ends at Punta Blanca’s public, large black sand beach.
PORTOBELLO WATERFALL TOUR
Half day tour to a beautiful waterfall located in the remote town of Portobello. This tour is for the adventurous traveler. Hike and climb through the jungle to this breathtaking waterfall. When you arrive you can take a relaxing dip in the chilly fresh water swimming hole and play under the falls. Tour is seasonal.
SEA TURTLE TOURS
Hotel Playa Cambutal is happy to offer guided sea turtle tours. For $10.00 per person you can walk the nearby beaches with Tortugas Cambutal, a local turtle conservation group. Tortugas Cambutal offers knowledgeable guides and can take you to search for female sea turtles laying their eggs. This tour is offered at night, from July to December.
Included: Transportation to nearby beaches and a local guide.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Cambutal is cowboy country and visitors will notice that horses are still an important form of transportation. You can enjoy guided rides down the beach or through Cambutal's hills and forested areas. Nothing beats witnessing the sun rise or set while horseback riding.
